Country Singer Thomas Rhett and Wife Lauren Akins Expecting Baby #5: “Here We Go Again!”
Country singer Thomas Rhett is growing his family! The “Beautiful As You” singer and his wife Lauren Akins announced they are expecting their fifth baby together. “Here we go again!”
In a joint Instagram post, the couple shared a video together with Thomas playing the guitar. As he sang, Lauren pulled out a string of sonogram images to share the news. The singer gave an update on how his four daughters were feeling and wrote, “We’ve got some really excited big sisters in our house. God is so good.” They didn’t share any further information about their little one including their baby’s due date or sex.
The couple shares four daughters together. They adopted their first daughter, Willa Gray, in 2017 from Uganda. During the adoption process, the couple learned that they were pregnant and their second baby, daughter Ada James, arrived in August 2017. Three years later in February 2020, their daughter Lennon Love was born. The “Die a Happy Man” singer and his wife welcomed baby number four in November 2021, a daughter named Lillie Carolina.
The “Make Me Wanna” singer and his wife first met while attending elementary school in Valdosta, Georgia. They dated briefly as teenagers but their relationship didn’t last. The two remained friends through the years and started dating again as adults. After six months together, they got engaged and went on to tie the knot in 2012.
Congratulations to Thomas and Lauren on the news of their fifth baby! We wish them all the best as they prepare to add a little one to their family.
