NFL Player Tim Tebow and Wife Demi-Leigh Announce Birth of 1st Baby: ‘We Couldn’t Be More Grateful’

Retired NFL player Tim Tebow is officially a dad! The quarterback and his wife Demi-Leigh announced the birth of their first baby together. The couple revealed they were pregnant in January.

The couple shared a series of black and white images from their time in the hospital with their newborn. Demi-Leigh gave birth to a baby girl, whose sex the couple revealed in March, on July 6th. “Our daughter is here! We couldn’t be more grateful for the blessing and gift of this new little life.” They didn’t reveal the name they chose for their daughter, but Demi-Leigh teased in the caption of the post, “We can’t wait to share her name with you soon.”

In the post, the model expressed her gratitude for those around her for their support throughout her birth and pregnancy journey. “We’re so grateful to the whole medical team that assisted us in the best way possible during my labor and delivery. From our doctor to our nurses and all the hospital staff — we are so grateful and thankful for you.” She also took a moment to thank her family, friends, and fans. “Thank you to everyone who’s been praying with us over her arrival. We are so incredibly thankful for all of the love and support we’ve felt.”

The former Jacksonville Jaguars player met his now-wife in 2018 at an annual charity event hosted by Tim’s foundation. In July of that year, the NFL player confirmed the couple was dating. In January 2019, the couple got engaged and they got married one year later at the La Paris Estate in Cape Town, South Africa. For his wife’s birthday last month, the football player gushed in an Instagram post, “Every day with you is a gift, but today we celebrate you. Your heart, your strength, your joy, your faith. It all inspires me more than words can say. Here’s to many more birthdays, adventures, and purpose-filled days together.”

Congratulations to Tim and Demi on the birth of their baby daughter! We look forward to learning the name they chose for her.
