Lady A Singer Hilary Scott Welcomes Baby #4 with Husband Chris Tyrrell, Announces Baby’s Name
Musician Hilary Scott is a mother of four! The Lady A singer and her husband Chris Tyrrell announced the birth of their fourth baby together. “We are over the moon.”
In an exclusive announcement with PEOPLE, the “Need You Now” singer and her husband shared that they welcomed a baby girl, whose sex they revealed when announcing their pregnancy in February, on July 25th. The couple chose to name their fourth daughter Selah Jean. On the meaning of her daughter’s name, the country music singer and her husband shared, “Her name means ‘pause and reflect’ and ‘god is gracious,’ and in the few short days she’s been here with us, we can already see that she embodies both of those phrases.” They gushed about their newborn, “She truly feels like the most priceless gift — like Christmas in July!”
The couple’s newborn joins the family with their three other daughters. Hilary and Chris share Eisele Kaye, 12, and 7-year-old twins named Emory JoAnn and Betsy Mack. On how the family is doing with their newest addition, the “What If I Never Get Over You” singer shared, “She has filled our hearts with joy and her sisters are already the BEST helpers.”
Hilary and Chris, a drummer, first met in college and reconnected in early 2010. They started dating sooner after and got engaged during the Fourth of July weekend in 2011 in East Tennessee. The couple kept their wedding plans private and quietly tied the knot in January 2012 in a private ceremony in upstate New York surrounded by family and close friends.
