Formula 1 Driver Max Verstappen Announces Birth of 2nd Baby, His 1st with Model Kelly Piquet

Formula 1 driver Max Verstappen has grown his family! The race car driver and his girlfriend Kelly Piquet welcomed their first baby together, his second. “Our hearts are fuller than ever.”

The Grands Prix winner shared two black and white images to announce the birth of his newborn. The couple welcomed a baby girl and chose to name her Lily Verstappen-Piquet. They did not reveal her birth date. The new father-of-two gushed in the caption, “Welcome to the world, sweet Lily Our hearts are fuller than ever – you are our greatest gift. We love you so much .”

Max and Kelly announced in December that they were expecting a baby together. They shared at the time, “We couldn’t be happier for our little miracle.” Max shares a child with his ex Daniil Kvyat, a fellow F1 driver. The couple, who broke up in 2019, have a five-year-old daughter named Penelope. Max started dating the model in 2020 but the two didn’t confirm they were in a relationship until the beginning of 2021.

Kelly plays a major role in the life of her step-daughter. Before announcing Lily’s birth, she posted about a photoshoot in partnership with Tiffany & Co. for Mother’s Day. The images showed Kelly and Penelope together wearing jewelry from the brand and in one post the model gushed, “The mother-daughter bond is like no other – built on love, trust and countless little moments we’ll cherish forever ”

Congratulations to Max and Kelly on the birth of baby Lily! We wish them all the best as they welcome their newborn into their family.
