Country Singer Scotty McCreery Expecting Baby #2 with Wife Gabi, Reveals Baby’s Due Date and Sex
Musician Scotty McCreery is growing his family! The “Bottle Rockets” singer and his wife Gabi McCreery announced they are expecting their second baby together. They revealed their baby’s sex and when their newborn is due to arrive.
In a joint Instagram post, the couple shared a photoshoot with their first baby, their son Avery. The couple each wore jeans and white t-shirts while Merrick was donned in jeans and a blue long-sleeved shirt that read: “big brother.” In the caption of the post, Gabi, a pediatric nurse, shared when the couple’s baby would arrive. “A new best friend coming this fall!” She also added two blue heart emojis at the end to reveal: it’s a boy!
The “Damn Strait” singer and his wife welcomed their son, whose full name Merrick Avery McCreery, on October 24, 2022. His moniker is after Gabi’s father, Merrick (Tre) Dugal III, but the couple shared when he was born that he would go by his middle name. The singer frequently features his son on his Instagram page and documents Avery joining him at shows or going golfing with his dad.
Scottie and Gabi have known each other since they were little, first meeting in kindergarten in their hometown of Garner, North Carolina. The couple began dating in high school during their senior year. They dated for six years before getting married. In 2018, they tied the knot at Twickenham House & Hall in the mountains of North Carolina. On Scotty’s birthday last year, the nurse gushed over her husband in an Instagram post writing, “All the smiles for 31 years of Scoot We love you so much 
.”
