Soccer Star Alex Morgan Gives Birth to Baby #2 with Husband Servando Carrasco, Shares Newborn’s Baby Name

Retired soccer player Alex Morgan has grown her family! The former USWNT player and her husband Servando Carrasco announced the birth of their second baby together. “Welcome to the world.”

Alex and Servando shared a joint Instagram post with close-up black-and-white images of their newborn baby. The couple welcomed a son, whose sex they shared earlier this year in January. They revealed that they named their son Enzo but didn’t share his birth date. “Soaking it all up right now. Welcome to the world baby Enzo.”

The soccer star announced in September that she was pregnant with her second baby. The news came at the same time that the athlete announced her retirement. On her retirement, she explained, “I’m retiring. I have so much clarity about this decision and I’m so happy to be able to tell you. It has been a long time coming and this decision wasn’t easy.” The Olympian went on to discuss her pregnancy. “As unexpected as this came, we are so overjoyed. To me, family means everything. I wouldn’t be here without my husband and my family uplifting and motivating and encouraging and supporting me and sacrificing for me for the last 15 years as a professional athlete.”

The couple, who both played soccer, met in college at the University of California, Berkeley. They got engaged in December 2013 and one year later on New Year’s Eve in December 2014, the couple tied the knot in Santa Barbara, California. Their first baby, a daughter named Charlie, joined the family in May 2020.

Congratulations to Alex and Servando on the arrival of baby Enzo! We wish them all they best as they welcome their newborn into their family.
